Sylvester T. Darby, 93, of Crystal City, died Wednesday (Jan. 14, 2004) in Crystal City. Mr. Darby was a lime worker at Mississippi Lime Co. in Ste. Genevieve before retiring. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Bloomsdale and the AFL-CIO. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Lebanon Baptist Church, 3007 Highway 61, Bloomsdale. Burial will follow at Lebanon Baptist Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Among the survivors are his wife, Bessie Darby of Crystal City; two sons, Gary Darby of Festus and Lane Darby of Barnhart; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Bessie Darby, 88, of Festus (formerly of De Soto) died Sunday (Sept. 26, 2004) in Festus. Mrs. Darby was a homemaker and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church of Bloomsdale, Mo. The funeral was held Wednesday at Lebanon Baptist Church in Bloomsdale. Burial was at Lebanon Baptist Cemetery. Among survivors are two sons, Gary Darby of Festus and Lane Darby of Barnhart; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
