Married. In Oberlin, June 5th, Mr. J. H. Cater and Miss Hannah M. Bodine.

In June 1900, Joseph and Hannah Cater lived in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, Ohio. Joseph Cater was a minister and reported that in 40 years of marriage his wife had borne 2 children, both yet living. Living with them were Florence Bodine, 11 and Edward Bodine, 9, the niece and nephew of his wife Hannah, children of her widowed brother Charles Bodine.
