Cale John Bodine, 46, of Interlaken, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Cale is survived by his children, Isis Jade Barber, Sasha Renee Bodine and Delaney Camille Bodine all of Trumansburg; mother, Sharon (Michael) Dowd of Waverly; brothers, Scott (Connie) Bodine of Waverly and Eric Bodine of Waverly; sister, Camille (David) Corneby of Barton; nieces and nephews, Brittney Birks, Tricia Bodine, Heather Birks, Taylor Bodine, Hunter Bodine, Carlee Elizabeth Mattison and Nicholas Scott Mattison; several cousins; and two special dogs, Bodie Bo and Quinn. He was predeceased by his father, Earl (Ardena) Bodine; and grandmother, Marian "Mimi" Scott. Cale was a graduate of Waverly High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in agriculture from Ohio State where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma. He worked for 84 Lumber in Ithaca for over 14 years. Cale was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. A time of calling will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, with the Rev. Cindy Schulte officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery in Waverly. Memorial donations may be made in Cale's name to a charity of one's choice.
