BODINE, Nils R., of Marshfield, formerly of N. Falmouth and Canton, 88 years old, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May l6, 2008. Son of the late Carl and Rosa Bodine of Goteburg, Sweden. Beloved husband of Barbara (Brown) Bodine of Marshfield. Loving father of Laila Bridges of N. Falmouth, Larraine Redquest of Canton, Lauren Gennelly of Norwell, Denise Murphy of Marshfield, and Richard Bodine of Marshfield. Beloved brother of Herbert Bodine of NC and Laila Hogg of Eastham. Also survived by 3 sons-in-law, l0 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and several exceptional care givers Lisa Callahan and Bob Ward. Born in Boston, MA, April l6, l920 and educated in Goteburg, Sweden. He returned to the U.S. at age l9 and served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, W.W. II. Nils was a Tool & Die Maker for Market Forge Co. in Everett for many years. He had many hobbies and was an avid Boston sports fan. Services will be private for family and friends. BODINE, Barbara May (Brown) Age 95 passed away peacefully October 30, 2017. Barbara was raised in Dedham and graduated from Dedham High School. She previously lived in Canton, Falmouth and Marshfield before moving to the Copley in Stoughton 2 years ago. For Barbara, her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved wife of 68 years of the late Nils Bodine. Mother of Laila Bridges of North Falmouth, Larraine Redquest and her husband Ron of Canton, Lauren Gennelly and her husband Fred of Norwell, Denise Murphy and her husband Peter of Marshfield, and Richard Bodine of Marshfield. Grandmother of Julie Saltis (Bridges), Jeff Bridges, Michael Jerrier, Denise Jerrier (Coleman), Kate Gennelly, Garrett Gennelly, Jenna Hall (Murphy), Ryan Murphy, Erika Bodine and Harley Bodine. Great grandmother of Eric, Adam, Cory, Kayla, Emma, Annika, Griffin, Hannah, Cameron, Dylan and Mila. Also survived by her special nephew Stephen Bodine of Brookfield and several other nieces and nephews. It is Barbara's wishes that the services will be private.
