In 1910, Earl and Agnes Bodine lived in Whiting, Lake County, Indiana. Earl Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Lake Hammond, Indiana. He gave his occupation as chauffeur for the Standard Oil Company. He was still living in Hammond in 1920. In 1930, Earl Bodine lived with his wife in Otsego, Allegan County where he was employed as a beater in a paper mill. It appears Earl and Agnes had no children as none were recorded in any census through 1930.
Agnes Dickinson was the daughter of Thomas and Zeriah (Richardson) Dickinson.

Bodine & Mary Ann Hayes AND Genevieve Moody, clerk, born 16 June 1904 in Chicago, Ill., resident of Otsego, Mich., daughter of Samuel Smalley & Mary Mann, widow of her 1st husband in 1931, of her 2nd husband in 1943 and divorced from her 3rd husband 27 Sept 1947, were married 22 Jan 1949 by John W. Borders, Minister.

Earl Ransome Bodine, 53, of Otsego, Michigan; born in Allegan Co., Michigan; son of Andrew Bodine & Mary Hays AND Rhoda Elizabeth Cook, 53, of Bloomingdale, Indiana; born in Mercer Co., Kentucky; dau. of Charles L. Daniel & Nannie Phillip, were married 11 Oct 1941 in Otsego.

Earl R. Bodine AND Rhoda E. Bodine who had married 11 Oct 1941 in Otsego were divorced 11 Oct 1948 in Allegan County.

Mrs. E. R. Bodine, 54, former Whiting resident, died yesterday in the Plainwell hospital in Plainwell, Mich., according to word received in Whiting last night. She is survived by her husband, E. R. Bodine; a sister, Mrs. E. C. Greiger; three brothers, Francis R. Dickinson of Hammond; Alfred J. Dickinson of Chesterton, Ind.; Thomas Dickinson of Whiting, and a step-brother, C. Smith of Hammond. Short services will be held at the Sponaball funeral home at Otsego, Mich., tomorrow at 2 p.m. The body will then be brought to the Spanburg chapel in Whiting, where services will be held at 1 p. m. Thursday. Burial will be in Chesterton.

Earl R. Bodine. Passed away suddenly Wednesday at his home. Mr. Bodine was born November 27, 1888. He had been employed at the MacSimBar Paper Mill for the past 24 years. Surviving are: His wife, Geneva; 2 daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Nilsen and Mrs. Winona Warner; 3 brothers, Ralph, Ray and Paul Bodine; 2 sisters, Mrs. Sadie Wilkerson and Mrs. Hannah Austin; 4 grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Ayres Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock, Rev. John Douglas officiating. Burial in Lindsley cemetery. [Note: The daughters were born to his 2nd wife by her 1st husband. Harold Pratt.]
