Subject: Craig Family

My husband is Gil Craig. His grandfather was Howard Charles Craig who he never knew. Only 2 years ago through research I found Howard Craig's family. Howard's sister is Susan Daisy Craig Bodine. In Ancestry I contacted Jan Bodine who sent me the link to you. Your record keeping is thrilling. I see there is a living granddaughter of Susan Craig Bodine by the name of Suzanne Eleanor Bodine.

Would it be possible for my husband, Gil Craig to meet his cousin, Suzanne Bodine? Perhaps she may know something about Gil's grandfather, her grandmother's brother.

We think it interesting that in the Bodine family, two sons are named Howard Charles.

We would love to know more about Gil's grandfather Howard Charles Craig. We have his death certificate which states he was a widower and listed as a resident of Hollywood California. I'm looking for the Wife that made him a widower.

The short of a long story is this: We know Howard had a wife and son in Pennsylvania. Then he came to Utah and married Ella Richards. They had two sons Mark and Robert. Mark is my husband's father. Mark and Robert were ages three and one and were given away to two different families to be raised.

Howard was in the 1918 phonebook in Logan Utah and then we could find no further information about him until my research two years ago. Ella remarried and had five daughters.

My husband attended Ella's funeral before he and I were married but he had no relationship with his grandmother or know as to the reasons of her separation from Howard. We were told that the husband she remarried did not want her sons so she had to give them away. Heartbreaking to us and probably to her but we do not know or judge the circumstances of that era.

We thought it would be wonderful to connect with cousins and possibly someone would have family information to share.

Kindest Regards,
Sherrie and Gil Craig
