At the time he was a railroad conductor, the same occupation he held in 1920 as a resident of Swissville in Allegheny County (recorded as Calloway). According to her 1945 Ohio death certificate (no. 88642), Nellie died of colon cancer and was buried in Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
