White Plains--Fay Ellis Bodine, a waiter, of 24 Nepperhan Street, Ardsley, was given permission yesterday by County Judge Elbert T. Gallagher to change his first name to Raymond, on Nov. 15. Mr. Bodine told the court that his present name has caused him embarrassment because it is "generally regarded as effeminate." He also said that many people mistake his present name for Ray, the diminutive of Raymond, and added that adoption of that name would end this confusion.
