The wedding of Arthur Bodine and Mazie Sears was reported in the Wellsboro Agitator of 29 Dec 1909. In 1920, Arthur and Mazie Bodine were living with Mazie's widowed mother, Mary Sears, in Wellsboro, Tioga County. Arthur was employed as a painter, an occupation he was still engaged in 1920. The couple apparently had no children as none were reported in the censuses. Arthur and Mazie Bodine were buried in Wellsboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Mazie Sears Bodine, aged 70 years, wife of Arthur Bodine, died suddenly Sunday, Oct,. 17, at her home on the Pine Creek Road. She is survived by her husband and one brother, David B. Sears, of Corning. She was interested in local history, had written many articles on local subjects and was engaged in research for several more historial articles at the time of her death. Mrs. Bodine was born in Wellsboro, Nov. 6, 1877, daughter of Charles W., and Mary Parker Sears. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m., at the Bastian Funeral Home, Rev. Charles E. Titus, pastor of the Methodist church officiating; burial in the Wellsboro cemetery.

Arthur Bodine, 73, of Wellsboro RD 6, died in the Wellsboro Hospital, Sunday, March 14, 1954. He was born August 13, 1880, the son of the late Ellis and Helen Barlowe Bodine. Surviving are a cousin, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law. Services were at the funeral home, 126 Main Street, at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday. The Rev. David Burrows, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Wellsboro Cemetery.

Arthur Bodine, lifetime resident of this vacinity, died at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital early Sunday morning following a few days' illness. Born on August 13, 1880, he was the son of the late Ellis and Helen Barlow Bodine. In 1909 he married Mazie Sears, who died in October, 1948. He was a painter and inerior decorator. A nature lover, he and his wife traveled widely on the forest roads. At the time of his death he resided in his cottage on the Leland Smith property near the Country Club. His only survivors are one cousin, H. E. Bodine, Esq. of West avenue; one brother-in-law, David Sears, of Corning; two nephews, Frank Bodine, of Rome, N.Y. and Fay, of Texas. Funeral services were held at the Bastian & Kuhl Funeral home on Tuesday afternoon. Rev. David Burrows, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated.
