SCIPIO CENTER---Arthur W. Snover, 81, formerly of Scipio Center, died Tuesday at Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center, Auburn following a long illness. A native of Locke, Mr. Snover had lived in Scipio Center for the past 34 years. He had worked for the Cayuga County Highway Department and Borst Brothers. He was a member of the Cayuga County Com Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Bodine of Aurora; a son, Dale A. of Scipio Center; a daughter, Carol E. Snover of Cortland; a stepdaughter, Sharon Radcliffe of Aurora; a brother, James of Wilmington, Del.; a sister, Mildred Donald of Sempromus; two stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Shakelton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Ledyard. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Main Street, Aurora. Contributions may be made to the Scipio Volunteer Fire Department or to Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center, St. Anthony Street, Auburn.

Doris Bodine Snover, 83, of Court Street, Aurora, died Saturday. Born in Owasco, she lived in Scipio Center before moving to Aurora in 1994. She graduated from Moravia High School and Kent Business School, Auburn. She retired in 1984 from General Electric Co. in Auburn after 18 years. Her husband, Arthur W., died in 1994; a son, David Neveu, died in 1968. Survivors: Two daughters, Carol E. Snover of Bear, Del., and Sharon N. Radcliffe of Aurora; a son, Dale A. of Scipio Center; two sisters, Marjorie P. Rowath of Auburn and Ida Dankan of White Mountain Lake, Ariz.; a brother, Harry Bodine of Moravia; two grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Shakelton Funeral Home. Spring burial, Evergreen Cemetery, Ledyard. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 418 Main St., Aurora.
