Notes for: Hope Bodine

Several weeks after being placed in the Catholic orphange, Walter Thomasson returned to the orphange to reclaim Hope, who he referred to as the "beautiful little red haired angel" and adopt it, but was told the child had died two days before of pneumonia. These details were also furnished by Margaret Bodine Burgan, the daughter of Paul Bodine, in Jan 2008. There is no official record of the death of Hope Bodine.
