NEW BRAUNFELS - H. M. "Bud" Bodine, of New Braunfels, passed away Saturday January 11th at Humana Clear Lake Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was currently Director of Aviation and Chief Pilot for Valero Energy Corp of San Antonio. Bud was well known among Aviation professionals throughout the Southwest. A former longtime resident of Pearland, Bud served eight years on the Pearland School Board and was involved in Numerous civic organizations. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jeanne; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teri and John Hartsell of Pearland, Jana and Johnny Corbin of New Braunfels, Texas and son, Ken Bodine of Webster, Texas. Also surviving are five grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Services will be held Tuesday January 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Pearland with Rev. J. Garland McKee officiating. Masonic Graveside services will follow at South Memorial Park Cemetery. Family request if desired that contributions may be giving to the American Cancer Society.

Audrey Jeanne Bodine, age 87 of Alvin, Texas passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, at her home. Jeanne was born August 23, 1934, in Douglas, Georgia and was a resident of Alvin for over 25 years. Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Madison Bodine, longtime companion, Howell Fletcher; son Ken Bodine; parents Cecil and Grace Abney; brothers Lindell Abney, Charles Abney, and James Abney; sister Deborah Anne Homer. Jeanne is survived by her daughters Teri Denise Hartsell and husband John, and Jana Lynn Corbin and husband Johnny; sister Sandra Thiem; grandchildren Keith Hartsell, Greg Hartsell, Katie Hartsell, Asa Gaddy, Cade Gaddy, Grace Corbin, Hayden Corbin; great grandchildren Gage Hartsell, Payton Hartsell, John Hartsell, Julian Tatum, Walker Henderson, Kylie Balderas, Brice Gaddy, Harper Gaddy, Chandler Gaddy, Ella Gaddy. Affectionately known as 'Granny', Jeanne truly had a servant's heart, always putting other's needs before her own. She loved to bake, sew, and even fish, but what she loved most was being with her family. Everyone who knew her felt very fortunate to sit at her dining table as she was the most amazing cook and no matter how many people showed up, there was always plenty to go around. She traveled extensively and loved taking her grandchildren on fabulous trips. Jeanne was a real estate agent, had a degree in interior design, and was a member of Eastern Star along with Beta Sigma Phi. Always involved with her children, she was a team mom, den mother, and held the title of PTA board president. She was the rock, the nucleus of the family, making sure everyone was together on holidays and generously hosting family reunions. Her family was her world and she loved them beyond measure. Her infinite wisdom that she shared will gratefully live on. Visitation was held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Scott Funeral Home with a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. Interment followed after the funeral services at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
