Memorial services for Irving Howard Bodine, 75, will be held today in the Smith Funeral Home in Stockton, Kan., Rev. Lloyd Hinshaw officiating. Mr. Bodine died Friday in his home. He was born Jan. 8, 1899 in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Bodine, who was called "Pete", first worked as a farmer in Woodston, Kan. He later became a mechanic there and after a few years he operated a service station. He was also a mechanic with the Burt Chevrolet Company in Woodston, for 25 years where he became a licensed master mechanic. After full retirement in 1971, he and wife purchased and moved their mobile home to Colorado Springs to be near their children. Mr. Bodine was affiliated with the First Friends Church. He is survived by his widow, Millie Bodine, Colorado Springs; two children, Irving Keith and Jeanette Craig, both of Colorado Springs; two sisers, Mrs. Neva Henley, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Hetty Elder, Spokane; three grandsons ; seven great - grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the Ash Rock Cemetery, Woodston, Kan.
