In 1917, Robert L. Dubbs AND Hattie E. Bodine married in Philadelphia and lived together in Philadelphia thereafter, Robert engaged as a physician and Hattie as an insurance agent in 1940. Robert died 1952.

Dubbs, born 15 April 1868 in New Jersey, died 14 June 1948 in Philadelphia, buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Montgomery County. [Note: Joshua's family name begins with a "T" and appears to read Turean, but is near illegible due to run ink. The birth record of Hattie's son Harold names his mother Hattie Surran. Ther 1880 census of Bridgeton, Cumberland Co., NJ records the family as Joshua SURRAN, wife Sarah and daughter Hattie, 12.]
