Notes for: Harriet E. Bodine

Harriet E. Bodine, age 27 and single, was living Jan 1920 with her parents in Evanston, Cook County and employed as a high school physical training teacher. The 1924 Minneapolis City Directory shows Thomas L. Gass working as a salesman for the Radio Sporting Goods Supply Co., and Harriet as a teacher with the Madison School. The 1927 Directory shows Thomas as Assistant Manager of the Reliable Credit Company and Harriet as a teacher with the Dowling School and the Directory of 1930 shows Thomas as Manager of the Terrell Finance Company, a position he was still holding in 1948. Whereas Harriet was living with Thomas in 1942, she was not in 1948. In Sept 1938, according to the obituary of her father, she was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota and provided the information for the July 1953 Minnesota death certificate of her stepmother.
