On 12 Sept 1918, Harry James Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Trenton, Mercer County. He reported he worked as a bookkeeper for Pitig Storage Co. and his next of kin was his mother, Katherine Bodine of Trenton.
The wedding of Harry Bodine and Marion Bonham on 29 May at the home of her parents in Trenton was reported in the Trenton Evening Times of 31 May 1924. Louise (Bonham) Bodine is the daughter of Robert M. and Carrie (Bergstrasser) Bonham.

Mrs. Marion B. Bodine, 84, of the Lafayette House, 777 W. State St., died Tuesday in Helene Fuld Medical Center. Born in Trenton and a lifelong area resident, Mrs. Bodine was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Trenton. She was also a member of the Trenton Country Club and a member of the board of the Florence Crittenton Home. Surviving are her husband, Harry J. Bodine, president of Tattersall Company; a son, William B. of West Trenton, and three grandsons, Richard, William Jr. and Robert Bodine, all of Trenton. Funeral services will be held Friday in All Saints Chapel, of Trinity Cathedral. Burial Office will be held at 10:30 a.m. with the Very Rev. Lloyd G. Chattin, dean of Trinity Cathedral, officiating. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at All Saints Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1819 S. Broad St., Trenton, or the Florence Crittenton Home, 1212 Edgewood Ave., Trenton. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Poulson & Van Hise, 408 Bellevue Ave.

Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist for Harry J. Bodine, 91, of West Trenton, the boar president of the Tattersall Co. and a former Trenton school board president, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in All Saints Chapel, Trinity Cathedral. The Rev. Deal Lloyd G. Chattin will officiate. Mr. Bodine died Friday in Pennswood Village, Newtown. Born in Asbury Park, Mr. Bodine lived most of his life in Trenton. He was an alumnus of Rider College. Mr. Bodine served on the Trenton school board for 22 years, from 1945 to 1967, and while president was party responsible for building six schools. He was a member of Column Lodge No. 120 and F&AM Crescent Temple. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for 37 years, serving as president in 1953. He was a former director of the Trenton Building and Loan Association and the Trenton Trust Co. He was on the advisory board of the National State Bank, and was a former member of the Trenton Country Club board of directors. He served on the Donald J. Connolly Citizen's Advisory Committee, and was a former officer of the Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey. He was first chairman of Rider College Classroom Building Fund and helped to launch funding for the eventual move from the college's Trenton campus to its new campus in Lawrence Township. Husband of the late Marion Bonham Bodine, he is survived by a son, William B. Bodine of West Trenton; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sheetz of Pittsfield, Mass.; two nieces and two nephews. Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in All Saints Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Catholic Church or to Rider College. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Poulson and Van Hise, 408 Bellevue Ave.
