From Trenton Sunday Times-Advertiser (Trenton, N.J.) of Sunday, 26 May 1918.
The wedding of Miss Mary Wyckoff Bodine, daughter of Isaac Bodine, of 42 South Walter Avenue, and Sergt. Oliver Descheetz, took place yesterday, at the home of the bride. The Rev. George H. Ingram, performed the ceremony. Owing to the fact that Sergt. Descheetz is unable to secure many furloughs, the wedding was solemnized yesterday. Mr. Descheetz is supply sergeant with the 681st Aero Squadron, stationed at Garden City, L.I. His home is in Quakertown, Pa. Only the near relatives attended.

Oliver Desh Scheetz, born 22 June 1891, served in the U.S. Army from 22 Nov 1917 to 13 Dec 1918 with the 314th Aero Squadron and attained the rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He died 23 Nov 1963 and was buried in Arlington Cemetery at Drexel Hill.

The Scheetz family was living 1940 in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania where Oliver worked as a furniture salesman.

Scheetz, of Drexel Hill, Penn., born 22 June 1891 in Quakertown, Penn., son of Oliver R. and Emma (Desh) Scheetz; died 23 Nov 1963 in Upper Darby Twp., Delaware County; buried Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill. Retired manufacturing representative; husband of Mary Bodine Scheetz, who was also the informant.

Mrs. Mary B. Sheetz, 93, of 61 Nancy Ave, died at Berkshire Medical Center Tuesday night following a short illness. Born in Cranberry, N.J., the daughter of Isaiah and Catherine Wickoff Bodine, she was educated in Cranberry and Trenton, N.J. schools and had made her home in Drexel Hill, Pa. for many years. She was active in the Drexel Hill Methodist Church, and after moving to Pittsfield in 1972 she attended St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Her husband, Oliver B. Scheetz, died in 1963. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Pusey of Pittsfield, with whom she lived; two sons, Donald O. Scheetz of Cincinnati, Ohio and Robert B. Scheetz of Cape May, N.J., 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was held in the Videon Funeral Home, Drexel Hill, yesterday. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Drexel Hill United Methodist Church memorial fund in Mrs. Scheetz's memory. The Wellington Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
