The marriage of Miss Evelyn Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmor A Bodine, of Stuyvesant Avenue, to R. Bruce Firman, son of Mrs. Howard Firman and the late Mr. Firman of the Scotch Road, recently took place in the Ewing Presbyterian Church, The Rev. William R. Guffick of St. Paul Methodist Church performing the ceremony. [Note: The exact date of the marriage was not stated, however, the issue of Sunday, 23 Feb 1947 reported the wedding will take place Saturday, 8 March, at Ewing Presbyterian Church.]

Mrs. Evelyn B. Firman, 54, of 9 Lumar Road, Lawrenceville, died Saturday morning in Mercer Medical Center. She was a lifelong Trenton area resident. Surviving are her husband, R. Bruce Firman; a son, Richard Firman of Monmouth Junction; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Susan White of Edison; a brother, Edward A. Bodine of Ewing Township; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Sherrard of Woodbridge. Cremation was Saturday in Ewing Memorial Chapel. Memorial services for the immediate family will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Ewing Cemetery Association, 78 Scotch Road. Contributions may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Brown Mills.

R. Bruce Furman, 58, of Lumar Drive in Lawrenceville, died Sunday at St Francis Medical Center. A native of Trenton, he was the chief of Consumer Credit Department of Banking for the State of New Jersey and had been associated with the department for 31 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Husband of the late Evelyn Bodine Furman, he is survived by a son , Richard B. Furman, Jr. of Monmouth Junction; a daughter, Loretta F.White of Edison; a brother, Howard of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews. A family service will be held on Tuesday with the Rev. David D. Prince, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing, officiating. Burial will be in Ewing Church Cemetery under direction of Ivins and Taylor. There will be no calling hours and contributions may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Trenton Road, Browns Mills.
