As Elisha W. Bodine, he lived and worked in Buckingham Township as a laborer in 1860. In 1870, as E. W. Bodine, he was a hotel keeper in Doylestown Township. Letters of Administration on the estate of E. W. Bodine of Doylestown were granted to Miss A. A. Morris on 6 Aug 1874. Settlement of the estate was rendered 25 March 1876. (Bucks Co. Administrations, 14-4). From Bucks Co. Miscellaneous Deed Dockets, 19: 524, 13 April 1878: Elisha W. Bodine of Doylestown Township, died intestate leaving a widow, Elizabeth, and one child, Ida L. Bodine. Ida grants her right of dower to her mother Elizabeth.
In 1880, Mrs. E. J. Bodine, now widowed, operated a grocery store in Doylestown Borough. Elizabeth Bodine married 2ndly, Charles H. Hall, with whom she was living in Doylestown Borough, Bucks County in 1910.
From the Pennsylvania Death Certificate of Elizabeth Jane Hall, widow, born 9 May 1832 in Penn., dau. of Benjamin Wigton & Susan (Barthison) Morris; died 12 May 1912 in Doylestown, Bucks County and buried in Doylestown Cemetery. Charles H. Hall, informant.
