Upon her marriage to Staples Thompson, John Edgar served as bondsman with Richard and John Burchan as witnesses. The will of Staples Thompson, of Bristol Township, Bucks County, was written 15 May 1824 and proved 1 Feb 1825. The will described him as "far advanced in age" and named his children as John, David, Staples, William, Sarah and Mary. His wife was not referred to and would indicate she was no longer living (Bucks Co. Wills, 10: 347; File no. 5383)

Children: John (bd. unk.), Staples (c1784), William (bd. unk.), Sarah (bd. unk.), Mary (bd. unk.), David (1796).
