Notes for: Charles Bodine
Charles' personal estate was appraised on February 23, 1819 at $3200 by John Cave, Benjamin Thomas, Redmond Thomas, and George Duncan (Nelson Co. Will Book D, p. 124.)
The following was extracted from the "Kentucky Genealogist," v. 5, 1963, pages. 123-129. It was then arranged by family (by Rudie Slaughter?). Information in parentheses was added by the people who submitted the article to the "Kentucky Genealogist" in order to make some things clearer.
Charles Bodine (b. 1780) Family
Charles Bodine son of Isaac (A.) and Elizabeth (P.) was born July 29, 1780.
Charles Bodine, son of Isaac and Elizabeth died January 15, 1819 in the 39th year of his age.
Eliza Bodine wife of Charles, was born August 3, 1788 (Eliza Stone, who married Charles Bodine, was also know in some records as Elizabeth, and in some as Eliza Elizabeth).
Charles Bodine son of Isaac (A.) and Elizabeth (P.) married on June 6, 1805.
1- William Bodine son of Charles and Elizabeth (or Eliza) was born Mary 1, 1806.
William Bodine son of Charles and Elizabeth died February 1848.
2- Nancy Bodine daughter of Charles and Elizabeth was born August 3, 1807.
3- Sarah Bodine daughter of Charles and Elizabeth was born August 11, 1809.
4- Eliza Bodine daughter of Charles and Elizabeth was born September 3, 1811.
5- Name missing - torn away - was born November 15, 1813. (Believe he was Isaac Davis Bodine. On a later page a death date is found - Isaac Davis, son of Charles and Eliza, died 27 July 1815.)

6- Mary Skinner Bodine (daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Stone Bodine) died April 1820.

From Nelson County, Kentucky Marriage Records:
Charles Bodine and Elizabeth Stone were married 6 June 1805 by Joseph Ferguson.
Bond of 3 June 1805 by Charles Bodine & Elisha Edwards for the marriage of Charles Bodine and Elizabeth Stone, daughter of Davis Stone.
From Kentucky Federal Census Records:
1840 Nelson Co.: Elizabeth BODINE males 1(30-39); females 2(20-29), 1(50-59); 9 slaves.
Charles Bodine was buried in Old McMakin Cemetery in Chaplin, Nelson County and Elizabeth Bodine was buried in Davis-Stone Family Cemetery, Nelson County.
Elizabeth (Stone) Bodine was the daughter of Davis and Sallie (Doolan) Stone. The will of Davis Stone, of Nelson County, written 2 Feb 1826, names among numerous heirs, daughter Elizabeth Stone, now Elizabeth Bodine and bequeaths “To the children of daughter Elizabeth Bodine, namely William Bodine, Nancy Bodine, Sally Bodine, Eliza Bodine and Elizabeth Bodine, to each, $50.00, to be paid when they come of age or marry.” The will was proved 12 Nov 1827. (Nelson County Will Book F [1825-1830], p. 238-239)
