Lois Mae Turnage, 78, of Lonoke died Thursday, March 5, 2015. She was born May 17, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. to John and Edith (Bolton) Bodine. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charles Turnage, one son, Tommy (Janet) Turnage, two daughters, Terri Dortch, Tracy (Gordon) Henderson, three sisters, Brenda Tokarz, Evelyn Sausamn, Patsy Richie, three brothers, George Bodine, David Bodine, Bill Bodine, six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Joshua, Jodi, Jordan, Jaci, seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Barbara Cain, two brothers, Johnny Bodine and Jim Bodine. Lois grew up in the Northside community and attended school at Griffithville. She later dedicated her life to being an outstanding mother, wife, and grandmother. Funeral services were held March 10. Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery. Dr. Melvin York officiated. Pallbearers are Joshua Swint, Jordan Harris, Blake Gooden, Dustin Swint, Tallon Swint, Landon Sandage. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Myers, Rusty Cain, Kamryn Blackard.www.garthfuneralhome.com.
