BURLINGTON--Ira E. (Toots) Bodine, 61, of 319 Sunset Road, Burlington Township, died Sunday in Burlington County Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. Mr. Bodine was born in Florence and had lived in Burlington Township for 27 years. He retired six months ago as a maintenance man from Griffin Pipe Company of Florence after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Mount Holly Moose Lodge and an exempt member of the Florence Volunteer Fire Company No. 2. Surviving are his wife, Verna McCay Bodine; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Merlino of Delran; three sons, Ira Kenneth Bodine of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Wayne H. Bodine of Florence, and John Jay Bodine of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Miss Mary Bodine of Cream Ridge; three brothers, Earl Bodine of Burlington, R. Craig Bodine of Florence and Louis Bodine of Trenton, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 West Front St., Florence, with the Rev. William Allen, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Burlington, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware-Raritan Lung Association, 29 Emmons Drive, Princeton.
Ira Bodine was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Florence, Burlington County.

Verna Bodine of Orlando, Fla., passed away into God's loving and eternal care April 30, 2013 in Florida. She was 93. Born in Bordentown, she lived in Burlington Township most of her life before moving to Florida 24 years ago. Verna formerly worked at the Masonic Home and enjoyed gardening and crafting. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel Stephens McCay; her husband, Ira 'Toots' Bodine; her son, Wayne Bodine (Della); and her siblings, Naomi Howie, Hannah Dennison, Ethel Burns, Margaret Cramner, Edna Shinn and John, William and Edward McCay. She is survived by her children, I. Kenneth Bodine (Billi) and John Bodine, all of Florida and Joyce Irwin (Edward) of Delran; a brother, Albert McCay of Lumberton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society. Dennison Funeral Home, Florence.
