The wedding of Franklin Bodine and Ethel Perkins, daughter of Dr. James Alfred Perkins, at the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Germantown, was reported in the Philadelphia Inquirer of 6 April 1905. Franklin Bodine and his family were living 1930 in Philadelphia where he was engaged as a banker.

Franklin Imlay Bodine, retired dealer in commercial paper, and a prominent lay worker of the Methodist Episcopal Church, who died Sunday at his home, 6723 Emlen st., after an illness of several months, will be buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery following funeral services at 3 P.M. at his residence. Mr. Bodine, who was 55, had been a member of the firm of Bodine and Sons, dealers in commercial and bankers' papers, which his father founded 67 years ago. He was national treasurer of the Charter Fund of the Methodist Episcopal Church, trustee of the Arch Street Methodist Episcopal Church, Broad and Arch sts., and a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Germantown. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Perkins Bodine; a son, Harold Fort Bodine, and a daughter, Mrs. Jackson R. Collins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Perkins Bodine, of the Cambridge Apartments, Wissahickon ave. and School lane, Germantown, who died Tuesday after a three-month illness, will be held at 3 P.M. tomorrow in First Methodist Church, Germantown ave. and High st. She was 65. A native of Chestertown, Md., Mrs. Bodine was a resident of Germantown for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of Collegiate Institute and attended Goucher College. She was the widow of Franklin I. Bodine. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jackson R. Collins, of Montclair, N.J., and a son, Harold Fort Bodine, of Merton. Six grandchildren also survive. Burial will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
