To this union were born the following children: (1) Caroline, born in Montville, March 21, 1851, who married Samuel P. Bodine, a painter by trade. Their one son died in infancy, and Mrs. Bodine died Feb. 13, 1871 in Norwich.
In 1850, he was recorded as Parker S. Bodine, but thereafter was known as Samuel P. Bodine. From 1870 to 1910 he was resident in Norwich, New London County where he was principally engaged as a house painter. The Norwich city directory of 1908 reports he was employed by the H & A Arms Company and in 1913 was once again a painter, which occupation he reported in 1920, when a resident of Waterford, New London County. In 1900, Julia Bodine was confined to the Norwich Almshouse. She claimed to have borne 1 child, which was then living. By 1910, she is again living with her husband in which year he was recorded as Samiel Bodine. He reported he and his wife had been married for 32 years. She now stated she had borne 2 children both of whom were no longer living.
