Pennsylvania Military Service Compensation records report that Leon R. Bodine was born 17 May 1911 in Camden, New Jersey and served in the military from 21 Oct 1942 to 31 Jan 1946. He applied in March 1950 as a resident of 3467 St. Vincent Street, Philadelphia.
In 1930, Leon Bodine, age 18, was living with Henry Bodine in the home of their uncle Henry C. Parker, in Parkertown, Little Egg Harbor Township, Ocean County, New Jersey. His whereabouts in 1920 are unknown. On 21 Oct 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the time he stated he was married. Leon and Germaine Bodine divorced and she married 2ndly, Jacob Roginsky in 1949 in Philadelphia. Germaine Limpens was the daughter of Louis Basile and Rosalie (Fies) Limpens.
