The Schlemmer family was living 1930 in Collingswood, Camden County, New Jersey where Lawrence was employed as a booking machine salesman. Their obituaries and children:

Lawrence A. Schlemmer, 87, of Rydal and formerly of Glenside, died Jan. 28 at the White Billet Nursing Home in Hatboro.
As a child, Mr. Schlemmer was placed in Girard College, then a boarding school for orphan boys. The school now admits girls as well.
He was placed in the school in 1907, after his parents died. He received both his elementary and high school education at Girard College, where he lived for nearly 10 years.
Before retiring in 1963, he last worked as a bookkeeping machine operator for the Pennsylvania Department of Military Affairs in Indiantown Gap. Before that, he was a real estate agent in Philadelphia.
After graduating from Girard in 1917, he attended the University of Pennsylvania. During World War I, he served in the University of Pennsylvania Eighth Company Students Army Training Corps.
He moved to the Tampa, Fla., area after his retirement, where he became a tennis teacher at the age of 65. He returned to live in Rydal in 1976.
He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Bodine; three daughters, Elizabeth S. McKee, Helen S. Lutz and Larretta S. Madill; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 30 at Baron Rowland Funeral Home, Abington.
Interment was in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia.

Helen Bodine Schlemmer, 86, of Rydal West Apartments, died March 16 at White Billet Nursing Home in Hatboro.
She is survived by three daughters, Helen S. Lutz, Elizabeth S. McKee and Larreta S. Madill; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Grace Bodine Gunsser.
A funeral was March 19 at Baron Rowland Funeral Home of Abington. Burial was in Northwood Cemetery.
