JOSEPH P. GRIFFITH JR., 66, of Mount Holly, died Wednesday, at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly. Mr. Griffith, a former employee of Rancocas Valley Regional High School, worked for the Northampton Textile and Alexander Plush Mills for 39 years. He was a lifelong resident of Mount Holly. He was a member of the Eagle Dye Glee Club, the VFW 2692 in Mount Holly, Relief Fire Company No. 1, and the New Jersey and Burlington County Exempt Firemen's Associations. Mr. Griffith was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. He also was an avid fisherman. Survivors: his wife, Gertrude; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Winner of Westampton; two step-grandchildren, and three sisters, Jenny Daigle of Baton Rouge, La., Bernice Yoos of Deltona, Fla., and Florence Worrell of Tabernacle. Services: viewing, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today, Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly; funeral, 11 a.m. today, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 121 High St., Mount Holly; burial, St. Andrew's Graveyard, Mount Holly.

Gertrude Bodine Griffith of Burlington, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Willingboro. She was 86. Born in Florence, Mrs. Griffith was a lifelong area resident. She was a longtime employee of W. T. Grant in Mt. Holly. Mrs. Griffith was a life member of St. Andrew's Church in Mount Holly. She was an avid reader and especially loved Mark Twain. Her needlework was magnificent. The daughter of the late Gordon Roberts Bodine and Lydia Eva (nee Cox) Bodine; Gertrude was the last living of 11 children. She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Ann Winner Maier and her husband Robert of Burlington; two granddaughters: Suzanne Lucas Pacera & her husband Stephen of Hamilton, BJ; and Jacquelyn Wagner of Columbia, IL. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Amelia, Eli, Jack & Leah. Burial Office and Eucharist will be held on Saturday at 11:00 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 121 High St., Mt. Holly. Interment in St. Andrew's Graveyard.
