Wayland and Lily Bodine lived 1930 in Silverton, San Juan County, Colorado where Wayland worked as a train man in a mine. In 1940 they lived in San Gabriel, Los Angeles County, California where Wayland worked as a tippleman for a metal mine. The couple had no children. Lillie and Esther were the daughters of Albert Friedrich and Caroline (Wagner) Andler.

Esther M. Bodine of Spokane, died 22 Aug 1994 in Spokane, Spokane County, aged 90 years.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Messiah Lutheran Church for Esther Mildred Bodine. Cremation will precede the service, and burial will be in New York with her husband. Mrs. Bodine, 90, died Monday. She was born in New York. Mrs. Bodine lived in Spokane for 44 years and was a schoolteacher. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, the Retired Teachers Association and the Alumni Association of Buffalo (New York) University, and was a volunteer for more than 25 years at Riverview Retirement Center. Her husband, Wayland Bodine, died in 1980. Several nieces and nephews survive her. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
