Orange County Marriages & Deaths - 1865 & 1875 Census: death at age 57 on May 27, 1875 in Montgomery of liver complaint (blacksmith). Ronny said the year "1874" from Elmer's tombstone was difficult to read, so we will go with the year 1875 from the death record.
Ronny said that Elmer Bodine is somehow related to Lewis Bodine, b. abt. 1735.

In 1850 Elmer Bodine, 33, blacksmith, lived with Adam J. Bodine (1805-1885) a tailor in Montgomery, Orange County.

Married on 15 Feb. Elmer Bodine and Louisa Blake, dau. of Wm., both of Montgomery.

1870 (19 July) Walden, Orange Co.: Elmer BODINE 53 NY Farmer, Louisa R. 46 NY, Warren 14 NY, Elisabeth 12 NY, Louisa 10 NY.
1880 (10 June) Montgomery, Orange Co.: Louisa R. BODINE 56 NY widowed Keeping House, Elizabeth 22 NY dau, Louisa 20 NY dau.
The will of Louisa R. Bodine of Newburgh, Orange County was written 26 Jan 1887 and therein named daughters Elizabeth and Louisa; and brother William H. D. Blake who was also appointed executor. Witnesses were Mrs. Isabella (L. C.) Bodine and Rene Ketcham. The will was proved 23 June 1887. [Orange County Wills, vol. 50 [1887-1888], pp. 132-134)
