Notes for: Kevin Jay Bodine

Kevin Jay Bodine died on June 4, 2002. He was a police officer for the Columbus, Ohio police department. He had a rare and hereditary (his mother's side) kidney disorder and had had both kidneys removed. He was waiting for dialasys or a transplant when he had a heart attack.

BODINE Kevin J. Bodine , age 37, of Galloway, died unexpectedly June 4, 2002 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. Columbus Police Officer Veteran for 10 years, serving on Freeway Patrol 2nd shift for the past 6 years. Special Duty Officer with Kokosing for many years. U.S. Army Veteran. Member of FOP Lodge No. 9, Kevin enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson cross country and to local events and was a member of Harley Owners Group (HOG). Survived by loving wife of 15 years, Nicki; daughter, Katie; father and step-mother, John and Jackie Bodine of E. Moline, IL; mother, Theresa Carroll of Phoenix, AZ; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Jill and their children, Jenifer and Jeremy of Phoenix, Tom and Brenda and their children, Nicole, Nathan, Lloyd R. John, and Jason of Columbus, Rick and Stacy and their children, Angela, Danny, Matthew and Gabe of Phoenix, and Tim and Sheila and their children, Jennifer and Michael of Columbus; sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Dallas Lewis and their children, Dallas and Darci of Phoenix; many other relatives, fellow law enforcement officers and friends. Family will receive friends Friday 1-3 and 5-9 p.m. at GRAUMLICH & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. Service Saturday 11 a.m. at Cypress Wesleyan Church, 377 Alton-Darby Creek Rd.
