Notes for: Andrew Jesse Bodine

His birth date doesn't work out correctly with his parents' wedding date, but that is what the 1880 Census appears to show. Maybe their wedding date is not correct. There could be several explanations for this.

I'm only guessing, but that could be the Andrew Bodine who married Ida Loman. Here is some info on them:

Online IL Marriage Index: BODINE, ANDREW J married LOMAN, IDA 05/04/1888, cert# 006/0012, JEFFERSON Co, IL.

And here is some more info sent to me by Cathy (cjleeper at aol.com):

From Ronny Bodine:

When Jesse's parents divorced, Jesse remained with his father. The Jesse Bodine family was living 1900 in McClellan Township, Jefferson County next door to Jesse's father, Andrew Bodine. Ida stated she had borne 2 children, both of who were then living. In 1910, the family was living in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois where 'Andrew J. Bodine' worked as a teamster. Ida again stated she had borne only 2 children and both were living with her. In 1920 and 1930, Andrew and Ida Bodine were living alone in Decatur, but now 'Jesse Bodine' was employed as a railway car cleaner. Ida (Loman) Bodine was the daughter of Walter Elias and Sarah Ann (Gillian) Loman. A. J. Bodine was buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, Macon County.
