Notes for: Hugh Crockett

Hugh, moved to Roanoke Co. from Lancaster, Pa. in 1749 served as a private under Capt. John Quarles of Bedford Co. Va. Hugh was mentioned in his fathers will as his well beloved son, Hugh was to have Home place plantation on South Fork of Roanoke joining Mr. Mattison, Hugh was on the staff of General Green during the revolution . Hugh was appointed constable of Roanoke May 20, 1767.
