Edward Ernest Bordine age 65, of Pineville, Missouri, was called home to heaven Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at his home following a sudden illness. Ed began his journey on February 9, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri, one of two children born to the late Ernest Harry and Helen E. (Mitchell) Bordine. He proudly served his country in the National Guard in Kansas for six years. Ed was united in marriage to Dana Sue McLeran on October 18, 1963 in Coffeyville, Kansas and to this union two daughters were born. They spent most of their married life in Coffeyville moving to Pineville, Missouri 15 years ago coming from Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was employed as a mechanic by several Auto Dealerships. His passion was woodcarving and had a gifted talent making several items; most precious to the family are his traditional English Rocking Horses. He enjoyed the great outdoors; fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Ed was an active member of the Sugar Creek Betterment Association in Pineville, Missouri. He was also a member of the Christian Church in Anderson, Missouri. He will be remembered by all as a faithful husband and father and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Dana Bordine of the home; two daughters Julie Robison and husband, Rick of Ocala, Florida, Becky Macklin and husband, Brent of Williamsburg, Kansas; four grandchildren Richard Robison, Melissa Huff and husband, James, Logan Macklin and Evan Macklin; twin great grandchildren Layla and Landon Huff; along with many neighbors and friends who will dearly miss Ed. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday January 24, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Missouri. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Altamont, Kansas.
