FORT WORTH---John Frank 'Bill' Brantley, 79, a retired U.S. Post Office letter carrier, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999 at his home. Funeral: 9:30 a.m., Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to the American Heart Association, 2401 Scott Ave., Fort Worth 76103. Bill Brantley was born Feb. 27, 1920 in Fort Worth. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, who retired from the Post Office in 1978. He was a member of Handley Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Merchant Marines in World War II. He was also a member of Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Bess Brantley; son, James Brantley and his wife, Jan, of Fort Worth; daughters, Karen Faulkner Moore of Weatherford amd Barbara Self and her husband, Mark, of Fort Wrth; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

FORT WORTH -- Bess Brantley, 80, beloved homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Bess was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Richland Springs. She was a longtime member of Handley Baptist Church and was a past president of Letter Carrier Auxiliary Post 16. Bess was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brantley. Survivors: Children, Jim Brantley and wife, Jan of Fort Worth, Karen Moore of Weatherford and Barbara Self and husband, Mark of Fort Worth; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Louise Walters of Fort Worth and Doris Wood of Crews.
