Hi Dave:

...

About the only other thing I can add is from the Parker-Willett bible, in which a notation was made that Nellie Eva Bodine, Lewis Paxon Bodine's first wife, died April 14, 1919, Sometime after that, Lewis married a "Tillie" or Matilda.

In answer to your earlier question, when I went back into the early census records on Ancestry.com, it shows Hannah Shadinger being born in PA.

Keep in touch !

Best wishes, Walt B

When I look up Hannah Shadinger, it comes up Shaddinger, born 1849, orig. from Plumstead, Bucks County.

Continued best wishes, Walt B

Hi Dave:

Many thanks for all of your correspondence. Altho I didn't renew my annual membership to Ancestry.com, I did manage to find the 1920 Census page which shows that Lewis P. Bodine's mother was born in Pennsylvania, his father born in New Jersey, and son Walter P (my dad) still living at home, while brother Alfred V. had moved on, probably already in Connecticut.

I called the Lambertville Munic. Building today ... They had a record of your ancestors' marriage in their ledger. Unable to make a copy ... but here is the data:

Lewis Paxon Bodine

Occupation: Teller

Age 21

Father: Charles W. Bodine

Mother: H. Shadinger (spelling uncertain)

Nellie Eva Parker Age: 20

Father: Mansfield Parker

Mother: Emma Willett

Married 2/22/1893

Methodist Church-Lambertville

By Rev. Neil

Hope this helps ... don't forget to let me know what cemetery he is in ... Have you been to Lambertville? Shall I go and take a photo of his grave? We get down there quite often...
