Obituary, The Daily Record (Long Branch, NJ) of Mon., 10 March 1913.
William Bodine, an aged and respected resident of Red Bank, for a number of years, died this morning at the home of Mrs. Dangler, in Wayside, where he had been for the past two years. "Uncle Billy," as he was familiarily known to all, was a quaint character in the Borough, for a number of years residing with Mrs. Richardson, in White street, that place. Death was caused by general debility. He was 80 years old. Funeral arrangements, in charge of Undertaker Harry C. Fay, of Red Bank, have not been completed. The remains have been conveyed to Funeral Director Fay's parlors in Monmouth street. "Uncle Billy" is survived by three sons and a daughter. One of the sons is Abraham Bodine, of this city, and the other two are Daniel and Murray, who reside in Newark. The deceased was born at the old North American Phalanx Colony, near Lincroft, and for several years was employed by the late Tobias Polhemus there. He had been a resident of Red Bank for many years.
