In 1910, Chauncey Bodine lived in LaPorte, LaPorte County, Indiana where he worked as a hack driver. He reported he and his wife 'Ethel' had been married 3 years, but had no children. On 12 Sept 1918, Chauncey H. Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Pittsfield, Pike County, Illinois. He reported he was born 19 Oct 1875, worked as a laborer, and Mrs. Edward Chaffell of Pittsfield was his next of kin. In 1920, age 43 and single, he lived in Pittsfield, Pike County in the home of his sister Anna Fisher, her husband Otto and their two sons, as well as his brother John Bodine. Chauncey Bodine was buried in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield, Pike County. His grave marker notes he was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
