Leo Bodine, 24 AND Pearl Jones, 23, both of Brazilton, Kansas were married 24 Feb 1903 by Rev. F. M. Verdan.

The Evening Star (Independence, Kansas) of 22 July 1908 reported a story from the Neodesha Sun on the infidelity of Leo Bodine's wife with another man for which incident a warrant was issued in which he was charged with "lewdly and lasciviously" abiding with the complainant's wife. The Bodines had lived in Neodesha only two weeks when this incident occured and Mrs. Bodine fled to Altoona to escape the wrath of her husband.

2nd marriage--1909--JENNIE MYRTLE SHADY.

A quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shady, at their home in Great Bend last Tuesday evening when Miss Jennie Myrtle Shady of this city, and Leo E. Bodine of Sapulpa, Okla., were united in the holy bonds of matrimony.

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Bodine, well-known Northeast El Paso resident, will be held at 10:30 a.m., tomorrow at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today. Mrs. Bodine, widow of the late Leo E. Bodine, died Wednesday after a brief illness. She was 79. At her death she was residing with her nephew, Marvin L. Shady and his daughter Mary Laurio. Mrs. Bodine was active in politics and served as an election judge for more than 30 years. She was a former grand regent and a district deputy in the Catholic Daughters of America. A native of Kansas, she moved to El Paso in 1926. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Fred T. Benjamin of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Jack Hansley of Larned, Kans., and Mrs. Dean Nile of CIarinda, Iowa. Arrangements are under direction of Rodehaver-Miller Funeral Home.
Leo Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 12 Sept 1918 in Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas where he waorked as a boiler maker. In 1920, the family lived in Hoisington, Barton County, Kansas and in 1930 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas where Leo worked as a boiler maker. Myrtle is the daughter of Arthur W. and Lizzie (Davis) Shady.

Rosary services for Leo E. Bodine of 3517 Mountain avenue will be held at 8 p. m. tomorrow in Rodehaver-Miller-Morrison Chapel. He was 72 and had been a resident of El Paso for 24 years. Funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Church, Rev. Henry Buchanan officiating. Mr. Bodine was a retired boilermaker for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Boilermakers and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his widow; a nephew, Marvin Shady, both of El Paso; a brother, C. Edgar Bodine of Sedalia, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Fedelis Wimberly, Bernice Bodine, both of Larned, Kan.
