Notes for: Robert Miller Bodine, Sr.

From Ronny Bodine:

From New Jersey Marriage Records:
Robert Bodine AND Margaret (Flynn) Galloway were married in 1907.

In the 1968 newspaper obituary of Robert M. Bodine Jr., he is named as the son of Robert and Margaret Flynn Bodine and names a half-brother James I. Galloway. This would be the James named in the 1910 census as son of Myra. In 1920, James I. Galloway lived with his grandmother, Annie Galloway, widow of John, in Warren County. Yet, John and Annie Galloway did not have a daughter named Myra. And since Robert's mother was named as Margaret Flynn and not Myra, it appears that Myra and Margaret were in fact the same person, despite the fact that in 1910 Myra was noted as born in New Jersey about 1882 and Margaret was born in New York in 1885.

The 1920-1947 Easton, Pa. City Directories reflect Margaret Bodine, widow of Robert as a resident of Easton. In 1920-1925, she is listed as living at 363 Ann. In the 1944 Easton City Directory she is listed as Margt. A., widow of Robt. M. living at 109 Lachenour Avenue, the same address listed for Robt. M. Bodine Jr. as Margaret Bodine, widow of Robert M.

From New Jersey Federal Census Records:
