From New Jersey Marriage Records:
Jos. A. Bodine AND May M. Hull were married 15 Oct 1890 in New Village, Warren County.

In 1900-1930, Joseph and Minnie Bodine lived in Washington Township, Warren County where Joseph was engaged in farming in 1900-1910 and held the post of Supervisor of Township Roads 1920-1930. In 1900, he reported that in 10 years of marriage his wife had borne no children. In 1910, he reported that in 19 years of marriage his wife had borne no children and none were living with them in 1920 and 1930.

Mrs. Minnie May Bodine, 66, wife of Joseph A. Bodine, died at two o'clock this morning at her home. Brass Castle, near Washington. She had been ill since April 3 last. Mrs. Bodine was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Christomathran Society, that church, Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Advocate Council, and the Grange, all at Washington. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. John Stuber, Union City, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joseph A. Bodine AND Ruie A. (Bennett) Giles were married 27 Nov 1937 in Port Jervis, Orange County. [Note: Ruie A. Bennett was 1st married 31 Oct 1891 in Orange, Essex Co., NJ to George L. Giles.]

In 1940, Joseph (73) and Ruie (74) Bodine lived in Washington Township. The 1900 census reported his birth as Feb 1868, but 1867 is inscribed on his grave marker.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruie Bodine, 80, wife of Joseph A. Bodine, of Brass Castle, near Washington, N.J., will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the DeVoe funeral home. The Rev. Martin Bry----, pastor of Washington Baptist Church, will officiate and interment will be in Hackettstown Union cemetery. Mrs. Bodine died on Sunday night in Washington, D.C. while visiting relatives. She attended the Baptist church in Washington. Surviving are her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Mayberry of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Hilda Pierson, of Newark, also a brother, Melville Bennett, of Oxford.

Joseph A. Bodine, 85, a retired farmer who lived at Brass Castle, Washington R.D., died last night in Doctors Hospital, Union City, N.J. Mr. Bodine lived lately with his daughter, Mrs. Martha Steuber, of Union City. He was born in Warren County, a son of the late Robert M. and Caroline Lake Bodine. For many years he lived in the Brass Castle area. He was a member of Washington Presbyterian Church, the Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Jr. O. U. A. M. and the F. O. S. of A. Surviving in addition is his daughter...[balance not seen.
