Elmira F. (Montague) Bodine, 84, was called to the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004. She was born in Riverside and for the past 25 years resided in Burlington. She retired from Fort Dix after 28 years of service and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Bernard (Antoinette) of Vineland, Raymond (Janet) of Long Beach Island and Sun City, Fla., Lorraine McDermott (Peter) of Tampa, Fla., Judith Tucker of Edgewater Park and Eileen Faulkes (Tom) of Burlington. She is also survived by her sister, Berniece Parente of Burlington 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Saturday at the Broad Street United Methodist Church, 36 E. Broad St., Burlington. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, 1060 N. Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Arrangements are by Page Funeral Home, Burlington.

Private services were held in Florida for Herman Bodine, 79, of Apollo Beach, Fla., who died at home. Born in Mount Holly, Mr. Bodine was employed by several knitting mills and worked in Millville before moving to Florida where he was a security guard before retirement. He died May 4. Survivors include two sons, Bernard of Vineland and Raymond of Florence, N.J.; three daughters, Lorraine McDermott of Tampa, Fla., Judith Tucker of Edgewater Park, and Eileen Faulkes of Burlington; a brother, LaVerne of Easthampton, N.J.; a sister, Gertrude Griffith of Mount Holly; his companion, Elizabeth Jensen; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
