On 11 May, Jane, daughter of William W. Bodine became the bride of Peter Van Pelt, of Radnor, at the Radnor Hunt Club. Ushers included Samuel T. Bodine, William W. Bodine, Jr. and James F. Bodine.

Captain Peter Van Pelt was killed in action in France. His death was reported in the "New York Times" of 6 Sept 1944.


2nd marriage--1947--RONALD CHARLES SNIFFEN.
The marriage of Dr. Ronald C. Sniffen, on the staff of the Massachusetts General Hospital to Jane Bodine Van Pelt was reported in the "New York Times" of 23 Feb 1947.

Mrs. William W. Bodine, of "Oakwell," Villanova, announces the marriage of her daughter, Mrs. Ronald Charles Sniffen, to Mr. Jack H. Braunig, of Framingham, Mass., on Oct. 24 in the Chapel of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Braunig, the former Miss Jane Bodine, is also the daughter of the late Mr. Bodine.

Jane Bodine Sniffen, 80, a homemaker and volunteer, died of cancer Friday at Waverly Heights, a retirement community in Gladwyne. She formerly lived in Villanova and Boston. Mrs. Sniffen was a graduate of the Agnes Irwin School and was active in the Junior League of Philadelphia and Meals on Wheels in Rosemont. She is survived by a son, William W.; two daughters, Angela S. King and Jane A. Michael; a brother; and four grandchildren. Her first husband, Peter Van Pelt, died in 1944. Her second husband, Ronald C. Sniffen, died in 1966. Services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 14 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr. Burial will be private.
