Dorothy J. Paul, 65, of Muscatine, died Saturday, June 15, 1957, at Grigg Nursing Home in Muscatine, after a five month illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, at Griffith Funeral Home in Muscatine, with the Rev. Duane Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Dorothy Jane Miller was born January 31, 1892, in Cedar County, near Durant, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Severien) Miller. The family later moved to a farm near Glenside, Canada. Following school, she moved to Detroit, Michigan to work. She married Mahlon Leslie Leonard Bodine on June 15, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan. Leslie was tragically killed in a railroad accident in October of 1923. A year later she moved her family to Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated from beauty school. She then moved to Ashland, Wisconsin and she established her own beauty shop, until she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married Joseph H. Ray on September 5, 1936, and were later divorced. She married Philip Frederick Paul on November 20, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the couple lived, until moving to Muscatine in 1955. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Pollyanna class of the church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband, Philip; one daughter, Yvonne (Harold) Thune of Murdo, South Dakota; one son, Leslie (Shirl) Bodine of Fort Devins, Massachusetts; one step-son, Charles (Betty) Paul; four grandchildren; two step-grandsons; one sister-in-law, Amanda Miller of Winnipeg, Canada; and one brother-in-law, Hugo Burmeister of Glenside, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister, Sophia Burmeister, two brothers, Albert Miller and Harry Miller and one nephew, John Burmeister.

MOOSE JAW, Oct. 14.---The funeral of the late Leslie Bodine, who succumbed in Indian Head hospital last week to injuries sustained in a railway accident will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from Broadfoot's funeral home. The service will be conducted by Rev. J. A. MacKeigan, and will be under the auspices of the Masonic lodges of the city. Interment will be made in Rosedale cemetery. A service was held today in Aneroid. The body will be brought to Moose Jaw tomorrow morning.
