The info on this family comes from David Klees (davlorkl at juno.com). David wrote that it might very well have mistakes. He hasn't researched it a whole lot.

From Ronny Bodine:

Obituary, Shamokin (PA) Daily News of Saturday, 19 Dec 1931.
Mrs. Clara Bodine, 71, one of Roaring Creek Valley's best known residents, was found dead in bed Thursday morning at the home of her son, John Bodine, at Newlin. Mrs. Bodine had suffered a stroke and passed away during the night. Mrs. John Bodine discovered her body Thursday morning and summoned a physician, who found death had taken place about an hour before. Apparently apoplexy was the cause. Mrs. Bodine had not complained of feeling ill and on Wednesday night had visited the home of her other son, Kimber, a short distance away. She had been a resident of Newlin for 26 years and previously lived at Fisherdale. Her husband died 14 years ago. In addition to her two sons, a brother, Jeremiah Fahringer, of Numidia, survives. She was a devout member of the Reformed church and funeral services were held this morning, short services at the house at 10:00 o'clock being followed by rites in the Numidia Reformed church in charge of Rev. A. LeVan Zechman. Burial was made in the Reformed cemetery.

Burials in Saint Pauls UCC Cemetery, Numidia, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
