Notes for: William H. Bodine

One of his descendants told me that William was a Primitive Baptist circuit riding preacher around the Colorado City, Texas area.

The William Bodine family was living 1880 in Marshall County, Alabama and 1900 in Hill County, Texas. On 1 Jan 1906, the family arrived in Colorado City, Mitchell County, Texas. The family left Alabama in 1883-1885 for Texas. Martha Bodine died in Itasca while visiting her daughter, Cora Wilson. William and Martha Bodine were buried in Colorado City Cemetery, Mitchell County. See her obituary in the Dallas "Morning News" of 14 Feb 1942.
