Elaine Newenhof Bundy, 33, daughter of Herman & Esther (Rozeboom) Newenhof, died 29 Nov 1931 in Seattle.
The Seattle Daily Times of 2 and 3 Dec 1931 reported that Mrs. Bundy was killed when her husband of six weeks accidentally drove over her when she jumped onto the car's running board, apparently to kiss him goodbye, and he not seeing her actions drove away dragging her underneath.
The Seattle Times of 26 Jan 1956 published a listing of abandoned property in Seattle that included Elaine Bodine Weaver and Elaine Newenhof Weaver.

1940 Seattle, King Co., WA: Irene BODINE 33 WA, Bert 10 WA son. Residence on 1 April 1935: Same.
On 12 June 1943 in Foy, King County, Irean married George Mortensen. Both are buried in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon where her gravemarker reads IREAN M. MORTENSEN 20 Oct 1906 13 Dec 1971.

Burt Bodine of Tacoma, Pierce County AND Gladys Maude Cummings of Tacoma were married 29 May 1943 in Seattle, King County by Raymond Nivision, J.P. [Note: Gladys is the daughter of William Walter and Claudia Beatrice (Kenny) Gray, who was previously married to and divorced from Eugene Leroy Cummings.]
The marriage was repeated but this time by a clergyman.

On 27 April 1942 Bert Bodine registered for the World War II draft in Seattle. He reported his next of kin was Gladys Cummings. He worked as a taxi driver for the Far West Cab Company.
Divorced 23 Nov 1948 as reported in The Seattle Times of 24 Nov 1948.
Gladys Gray Bodine fell victim to a homicide on 19 Dec 1963 in her home in Kent. The Seattle Times reported that she was strangled by one Gary Lee Quinlivan, 29, a close acquaintance of Mrs. Bodine's 31-year old daughter. He had murdered another man that same day and abducted a woman whose car he was driving when captured. Quinlivan, after a long series of complex legal proceedings pled guilty to the two murders and kidnapping in April 1973 and was sentenced to life in prison where he died in 2011 at the age of 77.

In the newspaper obituary of John Wesley Carpenter [1887-1970] in The Seattle Times of 10 Aug 1970, his survivors include his sister, Mrs. Grace Bodine of Seattle. In 1910, John W., age 22, also lived with his parents and sister Gracie in Centralia.]
