MEREDOSIA, Ill. -- RoseMarie Grisham, 83, of Meredosia, died Monday (June 15, 2009) in Heritage Manor South in Beardstown. She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, a daughter of Ira DeLos and Edith Marie Robertson BoDine. She married Don Grisham on April 6, 1946, in Joliet. He died June 27, 1997. Early in her life, Mrs. Grisham worked for Nesco in Jacksonville. She then worked at the Meredosia post office, retiring in 1986 after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Meredosia American Legion Auxiliary, and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially their winter trips to Florida. She also enjoyed being with friends. She is survived by one son, Tom (Julie) Grisham of St. Charles; two grandchildren, Colleen Grisham of Victoria, British Columbia, and Christine Grisham of San Diego; and two cousins, Doug Schiefen of Joliet and Gerald (Myra) Robertson of Houston. SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in the Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia, with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, in the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be at 7 p.m. Family will meet friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before services Saturday. MEMORIALS: Meredosia Rescue Squad and Pittsfield Chapter 195, OES.
