Just checked my name in google, found some great work done on our family.

I am Patricia Louise Bodine, widow of James Anthony Hessling, widow of Louis Minehardt, born 10-23-34, in Monroe City Missouri to Emma Florence Shortridge Bodine, and George Clement Bodine, first child, two sisters and two brothers. One brother dead, rest alive. My email address is plminehardt at aol.com. I would be happy to fill you in on what I know about the family. I live in Weston, W V since 1990, before that Waverly, NY, and other parts of the country with corp moves. I own and operate an iron foundry making large bore engine parts for the transit industry world wide.

Their only child was Roger Anthony Hessling, born 29 Jan 1955 who is mentioned with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Hessling of Quincy, Illinois in the Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index of 10 May 1958. Roger died in a sky diving accident on 28 June 1984.

BERLIN - Louis Minehardt IV, 56, of Berlin, Lewis County, died Dec. 16, 1999, at home after a short illness. He was president and co-owner of H-K Casting, Weston, for 10 years and in the foundry business. He received a business degree from Wentworth Military College and was a former design engineer for Gardner-Denver and Ingersol-Rand. He was a member of the American Foundry Society, the board of West Virginia Manufacturing Extension Partnership and the Industry Advisory Council of the Robert C. Byrd Institute. He was chairman of the Metal Casting Group, Industries of the Future. Surviving: wife, Patricia Bodine Minehardt; daughter, Gretchen Minehardt of Orlando, Fla.; granddaughter, Jennifer Hestling Alexander of California. Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Boyle Funeral Home, Weston, with the Rev. Robert Hoover officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Patricia "Pat" Louise Minehardt, 70, of Berlin Road, Weston passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 9, 2005 in Leesburg, FL. She was born October 13, 1934 in Paris, Missouri a daughter of the late George and Florence Shortridge Bodine. She and her family moved to Lewis County from New York and opened an iron foundry in the Homewood area of Weston, formerly known as HK Casting, Inc. in March 1990. In March 2005, after the sale of the foundry to new owners (Magnetech), she stayed as General Manager of HK Engine Components, LLC. Surviving are one daugher: Gretchen Minehardt of Weston; one granddaughter: Jennifer Alexander of CA; one great-grandson: Logan Alexander of CA; two sisters: Joyce Webb and Shirley Hawk; and one brother: Michael Bodine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Mindhardt in December 1999; one son, Roger Hessling; and one brother, Larry Bodine. Beginning in 1996, she opened "Adopt-A-Friend", which is an animal shelter for stray and abandoned dogs and cats as a personal, non-profit community project for Lewis County and the surrounding area. Pat was also very active in these local organizations and community affairs: LC Chamber of Commerce, LC Economic Development Authority, LC Senior Board, WV Reg. VI Workforce Investment Board, Machinist Technology Program Advisory Board of RSBI, WV IOF Metal Casting Group, Weston Rotary Club, SJMH, Co. American Foundry Society, WV Manufacturer's Council, WV State Economic Development Council, LC American Heart Associations Telethons, Weston WV Business and Professional Women's Club (was Business Woman of the Year in 2000) and many more others. She loved helping animals and people. She liked white water rafting and traveling abroad. She will be deeply missed by many. Friends were received on Thursday, September 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Boyle Funeral Home in Weston. The service celebrating Pat's life was held immediately following the viewing and was officiated by Father John Finnell. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Adopt-A-Friend in care of the United National Bank in Weston.
