Notes for: Madge Adeline Bodine
Madge was married two times: 1) Pasqual Breeden and 2) William Glassmire.
CA told me that three of the children from Joel's first marriage are listed together in the 1910 Washington DC Census. They are in the household of Pascal Borden Breedan. Listed are Pascal's wife Madge Adeline (Bodine) Breedan, Ruth Eileen Breedan (daughter of Pascal), Joel Augustus Bodine (brother-in-law), Theodore Bodine (brother-in-law), and Laura E. Bodine (sister-in-law and wife of Theodore).

Hi Dave,
I always have notes- I aim for high standards but sometimes they are incomplete, illegible, or otherwise useless! This information should be accurate. I do not know any birth months for this group of people, so I have subtracted their age from 1910 for the estimated birth year.
1. Pascal Borden Breedan, age 30, born about 1880 in Tennessee; policeman.
2. Madge Adeline Breedan, age 26, born about 1884 in Virginia; musician.
3. Ruth Eileen Breedan, census image for age is not clear,- (census reports that Pascal and Madge have been married four years and that Madge had one child)-so estimating born between 1906-1910 in DC.
4. Joe Augustus Bodine, age 16, born about 1894 in Virginia; pressman/dressman??
5. Theodore Allen Bodine, age 24, born about 1886 in Virginia, can't read occupation
6. Laura E. Bodine, age 20, born about 1890 in Virginia; domestic.

Dave,
Just wanted to thank you for your Genealogy Web Site. My grandmother was Ruth Breeden daughter of Madge Bodine. I never knew her last name until I started helping my granddaughter with a geneolgy project for her school. All I had were stories and one of them being that my Great Uncle was Aubrey Bodine and my grandmother gave me a book written about him. So thanks again.
From Ronny Bodine:
From The Baltimore (MD) Sun of 1 June 1905:
Marriage Licenses issued 31 May in Baltimore: Pascal B. Breeden, 24 AND Madge A. Bodine, 21, both of Washington, D.C.
In Sept 1918, Pascal Buren Breeden registered for the World War 1 draft in Washington, D.C. He reported he had been born 4 Dec 1881, worked as a post office clerk and Beatrice B. Breeden was his next of kin. In 1942 he registered for the World War 2 draft in Medford, Massachusetts and reported he was born 4 Dec 1879 in Sevier County, Tennessee. His registration also included a marginal note that he had died 3 Nov 1942. Since his date of birth appears as Dec 1879 in the 1900 census the date 4 Dec 1879 is used here. In 1910, he lived in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Madge Adaline, daughter Ruth Eileen, and brothers-in-law, Joel Augustine Bodine and Theodore Bodine and Theodore's wife Laura.
